Retail Services

SECUREcorp Retail was formed in 1997 and recently (2003) expanded its capabilities and depth of service through a merger with another leading retail security company, Australian Guarding Services. This merger makes SECUREcorp Retail Australia’s foremost supplier of quality retail security solutions. Our business partners, (clients) include leading shopping centres, property managers, majors and mini majors, as well as public malls and city council precincts.

SECUREcorp Retail has a dedicated management team and state based control rooms to co-ordinate the deployment of OVER 1,000 retail Customer Service Officers around Australia . Major Retail accounts are managed by the Joint Managing Directors and a dedicated National Operations Manager with a site specific Business Manager for every location, this ensures that our partners receive a consistently high quality of service and support. Our management team work to our unique “C.Q.T.” management and visitation program to ensure we deliver over and above the contractual requirements and have a clear audit path.

Our managers are very experienced in all aspects of retail security, many of them having come from retail backgrounds. This enables us to assist our clients in the development of comprehensive Security Management Plans, Loss Prevention Strategies and assessing levels of threat and maximizing spend-to-efficiency ratios. In addition to our fully-trained security officers, SECUREcorp Retail can also supply skilled customer focused concierge staff, loss prevention officers and store detectives who have expertise in test purchasing and dealing with opportunistic theft.

SECUREcorp's officer training program is second-to-none, with our own Nationally Accredited Training Organisation, SECUREtraining, we deliver nationally accredited and unique site specific retail training using proven practical scenario training, adult learning principles and traditional course methodologies delivered by competent, knowledgeable instructors.

Customer care is a very important part of our officer training, that’s why our Retail Officers are called Customer Service Officers, (CSO’s). We recognise that our personnel can help to make shopping a pleasurable experience and are often the first point of contact for your customers. Our shopping centre officers in particular, play an important role in ensuring customer safety and are often the first point of call in an emergency. Our bright, modern uniforms are designed to enable members of the public to identify our officers and enlist their help.
