This week is National Naidoc Week. Get Up, Stand Up, Show Up.
National NAIDOC Week celebrates and recognises the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander people. NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth.
Securecorp celebrated by partnering with Koomurri Aboriginal Incursions who ran a Boomerang Painting Workshop at our Head Office in Melbourne, and live streamed to our interstate offices. Through the workshop our team learnt about First Nations cultures and history, along with Aboriginal Symbols and their meanings, which they applied to their own artwork on their Boomerangs. Russell Dawson lead the workshop with great enthusiasm and had our team completely engaged, with positive feedback received from all who attended.
